Little Giants Fall in GLCA Opener

The Wabash College tennis lost a 6-1 decision to Ohio Wesleyan University in the opening round of the Great Lakes Colleges Association Men's Tennis Tournament on Friday morning.

Senior Scott Paramoure (New Brownfels, TX/New Brownfels) picked up a three-set victory at number one singles for the Little Giants. Paramoure won the opening set 7-6 (5), but dropped the second set 3-6. He rallied in the third to finish the set 6-2 for the win.

Nathan Cain (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) and Cameron Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) earned an 8-4 win at number two doubles. Starnes forced his opponent to three sets in singles play before losing 10-8 in the final set. Aaron Miller (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) also forced a third set at number five singles, losing 12-10 in the final set.

Wabash will face Albion College in the consolation bracket of the 10-team tournament. Albion lost 4-3 to Oberlin on Friday morning.
