Vice, Russell Earn All-Conference Honors

Senior Jordan Vice and junior Sam Russell earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference golf team honors after their performances at the 2009 NCAC Golf Tournament. The duo helped Wabash finish fourth at the tournament and fifth in the final NCAC Golf Championship Series standings.

Vice tied for 15th in the weekend's individual standings, firing a 236 (80-78-78) over the 54-hole event. That total, added with his total scores from the previous conference events, put Vice in third in the final scoring totals to earn a place on the All-NCAC First Team after earning a place on the All-NCAC Second Team in 2008.

Russell shot a 231 (76-76-79) for the two-day event to finish in seventh place. He finished 12th in the final conference scoring, receiving All-NCAC Second Team honors.

Wabash finished with a score of 951, taking a stroke off the team total each round. The Little Giants shot 318 for the first 18 holes, a 317 during round two, and a 316 for Sunday's final round.

Jordan Koch finished 23rd for the tournament with a 242 (82-81-79). Luke Moton was 25th (80-82-82=244), while Charlie Kelly tied for 31st place (85-87-80=252).

The Little Giants shot a total of 2,857 strokes in the four events that made up the 2008-09 NCAC Golf Championship Series to finish in fifth place. Ohio Wesleyan won the title with ,2,650 strokes. Wittenberg (2,745) was second, while Allegheny (2,758) tok third. Denison (2,831) finished ahead of Wabash in fourth place. Wooster (2,908), Kenyon (2,947), Hiram (3,220), and Oberlin (3,296) completed the team scoring.
