DeYoung earned the honor after winning the high jump at the 98th Annual Little State Track and Field Championships on Saturday, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University. His winning jump of 6-8 met the provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Division III National Championships. DeYoung also took fourth place in the triple jump with a leap of 44-2, earning the Men's Outstanding Field Performer Award at the meet.
DeYoung has already earned All-American honors in track and field this season. The senior finished fourth in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in March.
