Sherer, Futscher, Paul Take Third-Place Finishes at Millikin Classic

Wabash College seniors Mark Sherer (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso and Adam Futscher (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) and freshman Ethan Paul (Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial)captured third-place finishes at the Millikin University Track and Field Classic on Saturday.

Sherer finished third in the 1500-meter run, crossing the line in 4:03.39, just two seconds behind the winner at 4:01.36. Teammate Dan Ruge (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) was fifth with a time of 4:07.41.

Futscher's third-place finish came in the javelin throw. The senior tootk third with a toss of 177-6.

Paul added a third-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 10:48.12.

Wabash finished ninth out of 13 teams with 26 points.

The Little Giants will participate in the Wabash Outdoor Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, April 26 at Owen Huntsman Track.
