South Bend and Evansville Host Annual Golf Outings

Two regional associations recently completed their summer golf outings for alumni, family and friends.  The St. Joseph Valley Association (South Bend) and the Evansville Association held successful events for the 9th and 12th straight years respectively.

Knollwood Country Club in Granger, IN hosted the St. Joe Valley outing for the first time this year and the tight tree lined course proved to be a challenge for the participants.  A prime rib dinner and fund arising raffle capped off a perfect day of golf and camaraderie.  Special thanks to Roger Senkbeil '68 and his wife Carol for the organization and execution of the event.  Also thanks to Dick Barger '55 and Roland Morin '91 for handling the registration table.

For the 4th year in a row, Cambridge Golf Club on the far north side of Evansville was host to the alumni, family and friends participating in this year's Evansville Association Outing.  It was a warm and breezy day on the links style course requiring lots of sun screen, but several low scores were recorded with the winning team posting a 10 under par edging out two others by once stroke .  Thanks to Kyle Rapp '95 for leading the organizational efforts again this year.

If you live in one of these areas, but were not able to participate this year, we hope you can arrange a foursome and join us next year.  For photos from the 2009 events click here
