Sophomores Donavan White and Kevin McCarthy have been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Runners of the Week. The duo shared the award after combining to win the 48th Wabash College Hokum Karem Saturday morning.
White (left) and McCarthy (right) were the first group to cross the finish line in the Hokum Karem, a race created by legendary Wabash coach J. Owen Huntsman in 1962 that features two runners completing a one-mile loop in relay style for total of six miles. The duo completed the race in 28:42, 35 seconds off the meet record and 15 seconds ahead of the second-place pair from Marian University.
The two runners helped Wabash finish second overall in the team standings.
