First Wabash Football Saturday is Here

Football Saturday is one of the oldest Wabash College traditions. And in recent years, those Saturdays are packed with activities.

The Little Giants will make their season debut at 1 p.m. but there are plenty of other things happening this weekend before and after football.

The College invites the entire community to campus today. Community Day offers anyone who shows up free admission to the football game and a chance to see exciting Division III college football.

The football game can be seen live via streaming video on our website. Click on the Hometown TV logo for more information.
If you’re not going to be near your computer, don’t have time to watch, or would just like to keep up on the game score, you’ll get an update on each change in the game score on Twitter. The Little Giants, coming off a second straight playoff appearance, host the 1-0 Denison Big Red in their NCAC opener. That’s not all the sports on the day. Roberto Giannini’s 2-2 soccer team with host the University of Chicago at 4 p.m. on Mud Hollow Field.
On a day of great excitement and anticipation, the College will also pause to honor one of its longest-serving sons. Former Indiana Lieutenant Governor and Wabash College Trustee Richard O. Ristine ‘41 died June 20. The College is hosting an 11 a.m. memorial service in the Pioneer Chapel.
There will be more than 70 Wabash alums on campus for training sessions. These alums organize class reunions for Big Bash, lead Wabash Day activities across the country, and communicate regularly with their Wabash College classmates.
Wabash College students will enjoy a night of fun beginning at 8 p.m. during Casino Night in Chadwick Court.
You’ll find coverage of many of these events with lots of photos, video and more throughout the weekend.
