Sophomore Kenny Farris turned in the top time for the Wabash cross country team at Saturday's Great Lakes Colleges Association meet. The Little Giants finished fifth out of six teams at the annual event, held in Delaware, Ohio and hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
Farris finished 17th out of 89 runners with a time of 27:06 for the 8000-meter course. Freshman Anton Crepinsek was 30th (27:51) in his first major college meet. Brian David grabbed 33rd place (28:06), while Michael Gough was 38th (28:14). Micah Milliman completed the team scoring with a 53rd-place finish (28:50).
The Little Giants tallied 143 total points. Oberlin won the team competition with 24 points. The host Bishops were second (61 points), while Denison (72) and Albion (80) were third and fourth, respectively. Kalamazoo completed the team scoring with 164 points.
Wabash will compete at the Indiana Intercollegiates Friday afternoon at the Indiana State University Cross Country Complex.
