The Wabash cross country posted the third-best finish by a Division III team in the final standings of Friday's Notre Dame Invitational Gold Division. The 407 total points scored by the Little Giants gave Wabash a 14th-place finish out of 21 teams in the race.
Sophomore Kevin McCarthy posted the top individual finish for the Little GIants, finishing 43rd overall with a time of 25:52. Junior Seth Einterz finished 59th with a time of 26:13. Justin Allen, Brian David, and Kenny Farris crossed the finish line as a pack, taking 115th, 116th, and 117th, respectively. Allen finished in 27:18, while David and Farris posted a time of 27:20.
Graham Johnson took 131st (27:40), while Anton Crepinsek took 141st (27:55). Michael Gough completed the Gold Division effort for the Little Giants by finishing 152nd (28:17).
Four Wabash runners competed in the junior varsity race. Micah Milliman finished 41st (27:55). Colin Dunlap was 45th (28:06), while Jake Waterman was 51st (28:43). Sam Prellwitz took 61st place (29:26).
Wabash returns to action Saturday, October 10 at the Gibson Invitational, hosted by Rose-Hulman and DePauw at the Laverne Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute.
