We had a great turn out at the 2nd Annual Westfield Wabash Day. The project was for the Westfield Parks Department. Although the morning was cool and brisk, there was no rain. Family, friends, and Alumni of Wabash cleaned up debris, scrub, and trash on the newly opened Monon Trail running from 146th Street to 161st Street.
There were piles of bricks, trash, old concrete and other rubbish that had been dumped along the trail in years past. Volunteers removed more than 2 full truck loads of the unsightly matter. Several members of the Park Tudor Brownie Troop 2543 came and volunteered with the Wabash Day project. The girls worked on a merit badge for “Earth is our home”. A big Thank You to all in attendance.
