Little Giant Harriers Finish Third in Hokum Karem

Senior Dan Ruge (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) and freshman Dennis Frazee (Griffith, IN/Calumet) combined for a fifth-place finish, leading the Wabash cross country team to a third-place finish in the 42nd Annual Wabash Hokum Karem.

Runners in the men's race take three laps around a one-mile loop, exchanging a baton with a teammate in the same fashion as a track and field relay race between each lap. The women's race has the participants running two laps around the loop.

Junior Zach Eichel (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) and sophomore Charles Wohlhuter (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville South) were 10th for the Little Giants, combining for a time of 30:01. Freshman Dustin Beck (New Carlisle, IN/New Prairie) and sophomore Ethan Paul (Evansville, IN/Reitz Memorial) were 20th (30:53).

The Red Pack's season continues on September 13 with the Great Lakes Colleges Association Cross Country Meet, hosted by Earlham College. The race begins at 11 a.m.
