Little Giants Make It Two Straight Soccer Wins in Pennsylvania

Allentown, PA - Goals from Greg Ridenour (Roanoke, IN/Canterbury) (photo) and Colin Smith (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville), two assists by Tom Reifenberg (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger), and another shut out by goalkeeper John Taggart (Carmel, IN/Hampton Roads Academy) led the Wabash College soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Delaware Valley College on the final day of the Mule Invitational.

Ridenour, a freshman midfielder, made his first career goal a memorable one, scoring in the 37th minute of the match off of a pass by Reifenberg to score the first goal of the match. Reifenberg had a restart midway through the second half that settled on Smith's foot, who then fired it into the back of the net to give the Little Giants their second goal of the game.

Taggart earned his third shut out of the season and his second consecutive scoreless outing with the victory.

The Little Giants move to 3-2 with the win. Wabash returns to Mud Hollow Field on Saturday, September 13 for a 1 p.m. match against Rose-Hulman.
