One of Wabash College’s most prominent journalists will be on campus Thursday and Friday visiting classes and student journalists.
Timothy J. Padgett ’84 is Miami and Caribbean Bureau Chief for
Time Magazine. Padgett covers and frequently breaks news from Latin America. His work was honored in 2005 with the prestigious Columbia University
2005 Maria Moors Cabot Prize for outstanding reporting on Latin America.
He is a frequent guest on national television news-talk programs lending his expertise on the region.
Padgett is a former Bachelor editor who continued past graduation to support and promote student journalism at Wabash College.
Padgett will meet noon Thursday with Bachelor writers and talk about the current state of journalism and his career. He’ll then conduct a workshop reviewing student work at 4 p.m.
The Wabash English major will be visiting several classes Friday and hold a lunch session with Spanish students interested in Latin American affairs.
