The commemorative DVD of the 116th Monon Bell Classic is now in production.
The DVD is being replicated at Oasis Disc Manufacturing in New Jersey, and copies should arrive at the Wabash Bookstore during the first week of December.
The DVD will include the entire HDNet telecast, plus lots of bonus features, including more than 300 photos from this year's game and 500 photos from the archives.
The disc also includes features on coaches and players, TV news feature stories, the "Ballad of the Monon Bell" music video, and 11 Monon Memories from some of the great games in the historic rivalry.
DePauw's Ken Owen edited and produced the disc, while Wabash's Jim Amidon created artwork for the menu pages and the DVD cover (pictured).
Alex Turco, a senior at DePauw, built the photo galleries from images shot by a half-dozen photographers who captured this year's game.
"Ken has led this project for a decade, and there are alumni and parents who buy a copy every year," said Amidon. "Obviously, the disc is more popular in years when Wabash wins, but the fact we have preserved these games on DVD for generations to come is special. And each year, it's a fun collaboration between our two schools."
Wabash's supply will be limited to 200 total discs, and will be available first come, first served at the
Wabash Bookstore. The DVDs will be available for purchase online — watch the Wabash website for details.
