Soccer Team Falls to Second-Ranked Denison on Saturday

The Wabash College soccer team battled the Denison Big Red in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Little Giants eventually lost to the number two team in the latest NSCAA/adidas Division III poll by a final score of 3-0.

Denison scored in the second minute of the match when Steve Cole took a pass from Scott Vallee and put it into the net for what would be the only goal of the first half. The Big Red added two more goals in the 72nd and 89th minute to earn their 10th win without a loss.

Denison kept the Little Giants from making a shot on goal attempt in the contest. Wabash was outshot 15-7 in the contest.

Wabash (3-6, 0-2 NCAC) will look to rebound on Tuesday, September 30 when the Little Giants will travel to Hanover College to play the Panthers at 4 p.m.
