Aaron Kunkle (Ft. Wayne, IN/Concordia Lutheran) opened the game with a goal in the eighth minute with the assist coming from Patchell. But the Panthers tied the match with time running out in the first half to send the teams to the midway break tied at 1-1. Junior
Jon Taggart (Carmel, IN/Hampton Roads Academy) shut out Hanover over the final 45 minutes of the match to earn his fourth win in goal of the season. For Smith, it was his second goal and second assist of the year, but the first game-winning goal of his career. Kunkle's goal was his first of the season. Wabash (4-6) will be on the road this weekend. The Little Giants return to play in the North Coast Athletic Conference, traveling to Hiram, Ohio to play the Hiram College Terriers on Saturday afternoon. The Little Giants are 0-2 in NCAC play.
