Junior forward Wes Smith has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts in Wabash's 90-61 win over Franklin on Saturday.
Smith scored a season-high 31 points to lead both teams in scoring. He also finished with 10 rebounds to record his second double-double of the season. Smith added two assists to his game totals in 29 minutes of playing time against the Grizzlies. He connected on 10-of-16 shots from the field and 11-of-15 free throws.
The Lawrence North High School product tallied his 955th career point and 403rd career rebound. He is tied with Mike Holcomb '82 for the Wabash all-time steals record with 143.
