Robert Fozkos, Peter Hewitt, Nick Rockefeller, Matt Routh, Elijah Sanders, Craig Vetor, and Steve Zajac were honored prior to the start of the dual meet by their coaches, teammates, family, and friends gathered at the Class of 1950 Natatorium.

Vetor (left) went on to score a first place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, winning with a time of 2:20.84. Eric Vaughn finished second after touching the wall in the 2:04.87. Evan Rhinesmith finished third (2:06.13). The senior was also second in the 200 freestyle (1:45.69), while teammate Chad Woods took third (1:49.40) in the same event.

Rhinesmith posted two victories in breaststroke events Saturday afternoon. He won the 100-yard event with a time of 59.64 and took the top spot in the 200 with a time of 2:15.22.

The quartet of Vaughn, Rhinesmith, David Birrer, and Vetor posted a time of 3:34.37 in the 400-yard medley relay which was faster than the pool record, but finished second to the Greyhounds' time of 3:32.89. Wabash won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:31.01.

Adam Current added a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 53.49.

Sanders (right) posted third place finishes in the 1000-yard free (10:20.52) and the 500 free (4:56.74). Fozkos was third in the 100 free (50.18), while Rockefeller added a third place finish in the 100 backstroke (57.74). Chris Kermin scored a third place finish with his time of 23.10 in the 50-yard free. Vaughn was also third in the 200 backstroke (2:02.01).

Freshman Jake Schild added first place points in diving for Wabash, winning the one-meter (194.40) and three-meter (208.00) competitions.

"We had some really solid swims today," head coach Steve Barnes said. "Evan Rhinesmith continues to perform well in the breaststroke with his two victories. The time posted by our 400 medley relay was tremendous, even though they took second place against some very good competition from Indianapolis. They did a really nice job there. We had a good atmosphere on deck, fighting through being a little bit tired and drained after competing Wednesday. This should set us up for a good taper next week."
