Aouad Named SAAC Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior track runner Emmanual Aouad has been named the Wabash College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Athlete of the Week for the period ending February 14, 2010.

Aouad broke two school records while posting the best finish by a small school athlete at the Hoosier Hills Meet hosted by Indiana University. He broke the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.38-seconds to finish 41st out of 60 athletes from every NCAA Division. Aouad followed his first record-setting effort with another, setting a new Wabash 60-meter hurdles mark with a time of 8.33 seconds to finish fifth overall.

The SAAC Little Giant Player of the Week award is a selective process in which the SAAC board, composed of representative athletes from each varsity sport, votes on players who have been nominated by their coaches, based upon the athlete’s performance during the past week. The Player of the Week award is announced every Tuesday on the Wabash Sports Home page.
