Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish Jane Hardy I participated in the Spanish Oral Proficiency Interview Assessment Workshop in Bemidji, Minnesota, August 3-6. She also presented "An investigation of the benefits of a short-term study abroad program and the effectiveness of a pre-trip preparation course" at the Sixth annual conference of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSoTL) in Bloomington, Indiana, October 22-25. On November 6, she presented "Student learning and the role of a pre-trip course in a short-term study abroad program" at the conference on Integrating Study Abroad into the Undergraduate Curriculum: Transforming On-Campus Teaching and Learning in Beloit, Wisconsin.
