Chamblee posted a first place finish in the 1000 and along with two second-place finishes. He finished a time of 2:50.50 in the 1000 to earn 760 points and a first place finish, barely beating an OWU runner by one-tenth of a second. Chamblee placed second in was the high jump where he cleared 1.86 meters (6 feet, 1-1/4 inches) for another 679 points. The other second-place finish came in the shot put, where Chamblee posted a mark of 11.20 meters (36 feet, 9inches) and gained another 558 points.

He was the leading scorer for the Little Giants with 16 points in their 61-60 semifinal loss to Wittenberg. In that game he hit four three-pointer, including one with 2:26 left in the contest that game the Little Giants a one-point lead after trailing by 17 points to open the final period. Haltom went 6-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range.

The SAAC Little Giant Player of the Week award is a selective process in which the SAAC board, composed of representative athletes from each varsity sport, votes on players who have been nominated by their coaches, based upon the athlete’s performance during the past week. The Player of the Week award is announced every Tuesday on the Wabash Sports Home page.
