Junior Luke Moton carded a 75 at Thursday's Poston Butte Golf Classic in Florence, Arizona. Wabash finished third out of four teams at the event, part of the Little Giants' annual spring break trip.
Moton toured the par 72 course with a 37 on the front side and a 38 on the back to finish tied for eighth place overall. Teammates Jordan Koch and Charlie Kelly tied for 14th after shooting 79s. Kyle Nagdeman tied for18th with an 80. Sam Russell finished tied with teammate Ben Foster for 22nd place with 83s.
The Little Giants scored a total of 313 shots. Mesa Community College won the tournament with a score of 285, finishing three-under par as a team. Concordia-St. Paul served as the host school and finished second with a 291 (+3). Upper Iowa was fourth with a 323.
The Little Giants spent the week practicing and playing some of the top courses around the Phoenix area before returning to Crawfordsville on Saturday.
