Tennis Scores Key Win at Rose

Wabash earned a solid road victory Wednesday night against an experienced Rose-Hulman tennis team. The Little Giants defeated Rose 6-3 to improve to 9-5 for the season.

The Little Giants opened with two doubles victories. Evan Bayless and Elliot Dewey took an 8-4 victory in the second flight, while Ricky Ritter and Lewis Towne scored an 8-4 win at third doubles.

Zach Lowry picked up a straight sets 6-4, 6-2 win at number one singles. Peter Gunderman followed with a 7-6 (5), 6-2 victory at number two singles. Dewey and Towne scored the final two singles wins for Wabash. Dewey cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win in the fourth flight, while Towne earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory in the sixth flight.

Wabash returns to action on Saturday with two dual matches against Lake Forest and Manchester College. Play begins at 9 a.m. at the Collett Tennis Center.
