Wabash opened at the 12th spot in the initial US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association outdoor rankings, released Wednesday morning.
The Little Giants accumulated a total of 70.47 points to earn the 12th-place spot in the rankings. Teams receive points based upon an athlete or relay team's times or measurements versus others in the same events across the country. A team’s score in the national team rankings is a reflection of its “cumulative” chances as it relates ultimately to the NCAA Championships.
Wabash is sixth in the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Regional rankings.
