Wabash Website, Network Down for Maintenance Tuesday

On Tuesday, June 8, from 7am - 7pm, we will have a campus-wide network outage while we install a new power backup system for our server room.  During this work, phones will remain in service but all computer network systems will be down, including Internet access, email, the Wabash web sites, Moodle, and campus file servers (Tuttle, Wilson, and Caleb).  These services will be unavailable whether you are on or off-campus on that date.  Offices will remain open on June 8.

During this outage, electricians from Vaught Electric and Liebert Systems, in coordination with Campus Services, will install a new power backup system for our server room, replacing the one that failed in February.  This critical system component keeps electrical power to our server room even when the power goes out.  This reduces system downtime, and reduces the changes of system damage or data loss that can be caused by hard system crashes.
