Technical Training Opportunities

Wabash Computer Services is pleased to announce several upcoming opportunities for co-curricular training designed to enhance your technical knowledge and skills.

The first opportunity is a selection of facilitated Element K tutorials.  Members of the Computer Services staff will coordinate the learning process, and will be available for on-line support and during regularly scheduled open-lab sessions. The titles of these tutorials are:

1) Building Personal Web Pages with Macromedia Dreamweaver (Windows and Mac OS 10.2)
2) Introduction to Adobe Photoshop (Windows and Mac OS 10.2)

These courses will begin on November 10 and will conclude the week of December 8. Time commitment for these classes will be approximately seven to fifteen minutes per day. Element K tutorials are delivered via the Internet to your office or home computer. This provides a great deal of flexibility related to when and how you choose to complete these courses.

The second opportunity will be the second offering of 'Introduction to Digital Video.'  This two-day workshop will be held on January 5th and 6th at the Lilly Library. This workshop is ideal for individuals who are interested in systematically managing quality video production projects on campus. Interested participants should be knowledgeable with the Macintosh OS 10.2+ operating system. 'Introduction to Digital Video' is the first of several upcoming 'iCanDoit' workshops.

To enroll in any of these training opportunities, or for more information, please contact Daniel Duncan (duncand@wabash.edu, x6251), or the Help Desk (helpdesk@wabash.edu, x6400).
