Frank Galati Receives Honorary Degree from Wabash College

Frank Galati was awarded the Honorary Degree, Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D.), during Commencement ceremonies at Wabash College on Sunday, May 12.

Galati is Professor of Performance Studies at Northwestern University and has directed theatrical productions at Chicago’s Steppenwolf and Goodman theaters, as well as Broadway. He won Tony Awards for Best Director and Best Adaptation for his adaptation of John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay for his work on The Accidental Tourist.

Located in Crawfordsville, Indiana and founded in 1832, Wabash is a private liberal arts college which teaches men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely.
