Waterman Claims Weekly NCAC Honor

Sophomore Jake Waterman has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Distance Runner of the Week.

Waterman received the award after two outstanding performances at the Hoosier Hills Invitational meet hosted by Indiana University over the weekend. On Friday night, he was part of the winning distance medley relay team that included Donavan White, John Haley, and Kevin McCarthy. The foursome won the event with a time of 10:08.91, fast enough to earn a provisional qualifying spot for the NCAA Division III national championship meet.

Waterman was the only Division III athlete to receive an invitation to compete in the 800-meter run on Saturday. He finished with a time of 1:53.31 to provide him an individual provisional qualifying time for nationals.
