Wabash opened Wednesday afternoon with a 3-0 sweep of doubles action on the way to a 6-3 home victory over Earlham in men's tennis action.
Wade Miller and Daniel Delgado started the match with an 8-3 victory at number one doubles. A second 8-3 win by Ricky Ritter and Peter Gunderman at number two doubles proved to be such a popular score that teammates Evan Bayless and Ian Leonard repeated it at third doubles.
Earlham (3-2) tied the match with three consecutive singles victories, but Miller, Ritter, and Leonard sealed the victory with singles wins. Miller took a straight sets 6-1, 6-0 win at fourth singles. Ritter won 6-1, 6-0 at number five singles, while Leonard picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win in the sixth flight.
Wabash improves to 4-1 with the victory. The Little Giants travel to Oberlin, Ohio for two matches on Sunday. Wabash starts with an early morning match against the host Yeomen before finishing with an afternoon contest against the College of Wooster.
