Voices: Arts and Craft

I realized that what I really wanted to do was be around musicians and instruments. That’s been a nice combination. It takes years and years to learn how to get the right sound, there’s a whole process of trial and error, but I’ve made three violins, and I’m working on a viola now. I’m playing a lot of old-time American folk music, and I play in a string quartet at school. It’s a pretty fulfilling life.
