Robert Knowling ’77 will share his success and life story with the Wabash community Sunday evening. Knowling, Director of Eagles Landing Partners, N.Y., will speak at 7:00 p.m. in Salter Hall. He will sign copies of his autobiography after the talk.
“You Can Get There From Here” is Knowling’s “memoir of his journey from childhood deprivation to the summit of the telecom industry,” writes Fortune Magazine.
Knowling is the former Covad CEO where he hired numerous Wabash graduates. He also has worked as CEO at Telwares, NYC Leadership Academy and served as consultant to other software industry businesses. Earlier in his career he worked as Executive Vice President for U.S. West, Vice President for Ameritech, and a Director at Acordia.
The Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies will welcome Knowling back to campus during its fall semester Sunday dinner. The dinner will be held at 5 p.m. RSVP is required by Friday.
After Wabash graduation, Knowling went on to Northwestern University and earned an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management.
Knowling was an independent and Religion major while at Wabash.
