Our hearty crew of four spent this morning at the Laurel Animal Rescue League, ( a non-kill small animal shelter here), putting the Fall face on the exterior of the Shelter. The major project was the clearing of a wide “leash training path”
around the outer fencing of the pens. This will enable the Shelter personnel a proper space to train the dogs on a leash for the possible adopters of abandoned dogs. We also repaired two developing fence holes on the outer edge also.
After the above was finished, we then assisted the staff in warehousing the food donations for the day and adjourned. As each of us had later commitments we did not gather for lunch, saving this fellowship for the Bell Game Telecast.
Notably, while we were at the Shelter, two dogs and four kittens were adopted by local families.
At the Telecast Party at BWW Hattiesburg, we will have Shelter representatives present to feature its purpose and generate more support for our adopted charity. It was fun morning and even more people in the Pine Belt know about Wabash.
