Wabash Alum Named CEO of Donna Karan, Inc.

Wabash alumnus Fred Wilson knows a thing or two about high end fashion. He's spent his entire career as an executive with a number of fashion and luxury merchandise companies.

Now Wilson, a member of the Wabash Class of 1969, has been named the chief executive officer of Donna Karan, Inc., which was recently purchased for $643 million by LVMH Fashion Group.

Wilson, who spent the bulk of his professional career as president of DFS (Duty Free Shops), was formerly the president and CEO of the United States arm of LVMH Fashion Group.

Wilson was an English major at Wabash and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was appointed to the Wabash College Board of Trustees in 2001. He is a member of the corporate boards of Fendi, Donna Karan, exluxury.com, and Thomas Pink Shirt Makers.
