James J. Kilbane ’84

 

Jim is a Managing Director in the Institutional Asset Management and Client Services Group at Mesirow Financial in Chicago. Jim has served on the Board of Trustees as the Alumni Representative since 2008 and sits on the Admission and Advancement and Student Life Committees. Jim remains very active in admissions, attracting bright and capable student athletes to Wabash. He served as president of The National Association of Wabash Men, Class Agent and president of the Wabash Club of Chicago. Jim is a proud member of the Wabash College Athletics Hall of Fame.

As an undergraduate, Jim was an economics major, four-year letterman on the Little Giant Football team earning MVP honors his senior year, active with the Sphinx Club, Caveman Bouts and The Montgomery County Special Olympics. In his junior year Jim was the recipient of the Dean Stephens Award for character and achievement and co-recipient his senior year of the Frank Hugh Sparks Award for all around student achievement. Jim resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife Kerry, daughter Maggie (16) and son Macauley (13). He is a member of the 1832 Society.
