Wabash Students Get $4,437 for MUFFY

Crawfordsville, IN—Wabash College fraternity and independent men solicited funds from throughout the Crawfordsville area Tuesday evening and collected $4,437.58 for MUFFY, the Montgomery United Fund For You.

MUFFY has been conducting fall fund-raising campaigns since 1970 and during those 32 years the citizens of Montgomery County have given over $6,500,000 being distributed to over 25 separate not-for-profit agencies.

Over 200 students from Wabash's ten fraternities and Independent Men's Assocation were involved in the collection process. The Wabash men received training previously before setting out on the town and both pledges and upperclassmen worked together to cover the entire town.

"Every one of these men is "Some Little Giant!," said Muffy residential campaign chairman and Wabash College head librarian Larry Frye. A special kudos to the upperclassmen from the fraternities and IMA who joined their freshmen brothers. Because of these upperclassmen we were able to cover almost every street in town."
