Wabash Football Team Remains Unbeaten

The 10th-ranked Little Giant football team executed in all three phases of the game to defeat Oberlin 51-6 Saturday.

Senior quarterback Jake Knott threw five touchdown passes, the Wabash defense made six sacks and intercepted two passes, and Dustin Deno returned an Oberlin kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown in the win.

Wabash improved to 7-0 on the season and 5-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play. The Little Giants won for the 14th consecutive time and will host undefeated and 23rd-ranked Wooster (7-0; 4-0) in a November 2 Family Weekend clash.

Knott moved over the 10,000-yard mark in career passing and threw his 101st touchdown pass, both Wabash records.

Senior All-American tight end Ryan Short and sophomore wide receiver Brandon Clifton each caught two touchdown passes.

Rookie defensive back Josh Foster led a stingy Wabash defense that allowed just two Oberlin field goals in the contest. Foster was named the WVXI Player of the Game, while Deno's electric kickoff return was dubbed the Play of the Game.
