Crawfordsville, Ind. — The Wabash College History Department and the Crawfordsville Lew Wallace Study is pleased to announce the visit to campus of Gloria Swift and Gail Stephens from the Monocacy National Battlefield. On Tuesday evening, November 19 they will speak on the topic of “Lew Wallace: Civil War Controversy.” The lecture will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Lovell Lecture Room of Baxter Hall.
The two co-authored the article Honor Redeemed: Lew Wallace's Military Career and the Battle of Monocacy in the January 2001 issue of North and South magazine. The visit is being co-sponsored by Wabash College and the Lew Wallace Study.
The talk is free and open to public.
