David is currently President of Harlan Laboratories in Indianapolis. He has worked in the life sciences industry for more than 25 years starting with Eli Lilly and Company as a process engineer. Following his career at Lilly, David became President and CEO of Alkermes, a biotechnology company in Cambridge, MA and has helped start several startup companies in biotechnology, medical devices, and diagnostics. After graduating from the College, David received a master’s in chemical engineering from MIT and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He and his wife, Ann, have four children – Katie (DePauw ’13), Chris (Wabash ’16), Megan, and Andrew.
David has served as alumni trustee since 2009. He is currently a member of the Investment, Academic Affairs, and recently formed Strategy committees. He is an active recruiter of young men and active giver to the College.
