Wabash faculty 49 years after entering the College as a student, and after
42 years teaching at Wabash. He was among 12 faculty and staff honored for

Vina Mikesell, who has lettered each name and Wabash degree for nearly
three decades, was given a special award by Dean of the College Gary
Phillips.

combined 72 years of extraordinary teaching and leadership on the Wabash
faculty.
Professor of German John Byrnes, who pioneered immersion learning trips at
Wabash, retires after 21 years at the College. Noted current Modern
Languages Chair Professor Dan Rogers, "John has been here long enough to
have hired every current member of the Department of Modern Languages."

Division II Administrative Assistant Debbie Bartelt steps forward to be
honored for her 30 years of service at Wabash.
"In addition to Debbie's great support of Division II, she's also very
involved in a number of charitable efforts on campus and in the
community," Dimos said of Bartelt. "You can always count on Debbie to lead
the effort in doing good things for people."
