Wabash Day—Football at Damar
J.D. Flynn ’01 takes a break from his duties as a referee to play catch
during Saturday's "Wabash Weekend" at Damar Services, Inc. Thanks to 16
Wabash alumni and student volunteers and Damar's community partners,
athletes from 14 Damar and Special Olympics teams from 7 Indiana counties
spent a beautiful October Day playing flag football.
Tim Craft ’00 (pictured), whose experience organizing events like these
goes back to his Eagle Scout days, met earlier this year with Damar's
Chris Akers in hopes of finding a project for alumni and students at
Damar for Wabash Day. "Do Wabash guys like football?" Akers asked. Tim
smiled, and "Wabash Weekend" at Damar was born.
