Wabash Day-Hancock Hope House
Charlie Lopez ’05, Kyle McClammer ’08, Marcus Ellison ’04, Sully Smith,
Bill Neimier ’87, Joey Olson ’05, Stephen ’97 and Kate Creason, and
Stanley Deuitch ’52 joined other volunteers, the Indiana Blood Center,
and radio station WFMS at the inaugural Wabash Day gathering at Hancock
Hope House in Greenfield, IN. Volunteers gave blood and organized the
clothing and thrift store, proceeds from which supports the adjoining
Hancock Hope House shelter.
Wabash Day Greenfield organizer Charlie Lopez talks with "Wearhouse"
manager Linda Baker. "We hoping to Wabash will make this an annual
event," Baker said. "Everything we sell here raises fund to support the
shelter." Lopez noted that one goal of the Wabash effort is to raise the
community's awareness of the shelter and store.
