The light, smoke, and fire show got started in a packed Hays 104 with a little Physics demonstration with fire and music!

Chemistry Professor Lon Porter blew up all sorts of things! There's a pattern you can follow here.

Chemistry Club President Brandon Hirsch '10 and Porter use liquid for a light demonstration.

Four students put fire to several different gases  .. done in total darkness .. you can see the light and power of the small explosion here.

Physics students compared their "smoking ring" gun to a particular Wabash employee and had even more fun shooting smoke rings at audience members.

The Physics students did a couple of laser light demonstartions. Here the laser has melted the plastic of the first balloon with the next two about to go "pop."

A laser light projection onto the Hays 104 ceiling sort of gives you a "Close Encounters" feel.

Rock on, dude! Lasers and smoke - must be a rock concert!

Physics professor Martin Madsen couldn't resist joining his students for some smoke ring shots at the crowd.

And the grand finale is Professor Porter's "Harry Potter" moment of colorful indoor fireworks.
