Lafayette-Bloomington Wabash Day 2009

Joe and Mary Trebley collected donations for Food Finders, one of 208 Food Banks nationally that provide food to soup kitchens, food pantries, and other agencies that provide direct aid to people in need.

"Wabash folks stood outside the stores and handed out fliers that listed items in need," Trebley explains. "The customers would simply pick up a few extra items while grocery shopping and drop off those items as they left. We found that this was a great way to ‘spread the fame of her honored name’ and do some good at the same time. We were able to collect 1367 lbs of goods!  Go Little Giants!"

Joining Joe and Mary in Lafayette were: Jason Stair ’99; Jonathon Bradley ’96, his wife, Stacey,  and their children Sydney and Avery Sydney; Michael Pugh ’00, Matt McFarland, (an Ohio Northern grad and friend of Joe Trebley's, now a friend of Wabash College); and Lou Fenoglio.
