The tiny place is in the lower floor of a Renaissance-era building with just 10 tables. Dinners can look right into the kitchen. Look at the table on the right at the mounds of noodles - all right beside the door for diners' inspection when entering!
Cook has been going to Tratorria Torre for nearly 20 years.
We started with the pasta ....
It was a combo with flat egg noodles made plain, tomato and spinach along with ravioli stuffed with rocotta cheese - topped with wild boar ragu.
Following the pasta we got helpings of duck, chicken, veal, and pork that had even the bigger guys say 'no more.'
The owner kept checking in with Bill and making sure the guys cleaned their plates.
The owner and his restaurant couldn't have been more charming nor delicious. It certainly was an experience the students will never forget. See more photos.
