It was about an hour-and-a-half bus ride Sunday and a very chilly arrival in Siena
This is the tower on city hall - the city landmark - on the Campo, the historic city center.
The Baptistry at the Siena Chapel has been beautifully maintained.
The dome above the baptistry is beautiful, as you can see.
The historic church tile floor is shown in sections while the majority remains covered most of the year.
There are hundreds of artistic and archectural details to the church.
The Siena Cathedral is so big - three of us struggled to frame the chuch without a wide-angle lense.

You can see we had a way to climb - up a very narrow, spiral staircase to get to the top of the old arch. But it was a great spot for photos, see the city, and take those souvenir snapshots of each other.
