Aaron Brock had a huge night for Wabash in its win over NCAC foe Hiram, leading all scorers with 22 points — including all eight of his free throw attempts. The senior led the short-handed Little Giants by scoring the first 14 points of the night for the team, which was without Nick Curosh and Derek Bailey in the first half.

Chase Haltom didn't shoot the ball well for Wabash, but was a steadying force for the Little Giants with seven points, two assists, and two steals.

Ben Burkett had foul problems for a big chunk of the night, but hit all three of his shots and finished with six points and three boards in 18 minutes.

After his teammate Aaron Brock scored the first 14 points for Wabash, Wes Smith stepped up with big inside play and helped the Little Giants overcome a slow start to take a 35-29 halftime lead. Smith finished with 21 points and eight boards, and broke the all-time steals record with two steals to give him 145 in his career.

Dominique Thomas provided a big spark for the Little Giants, coming off the bench for a couple of big baskets. The junior finished with six points, three boards, and a couple of steals in just 18 minutes.

Aaron Brock was outstanding early in the game for Wabash. In this shot, he sinks a lay up for two of his team-high 18 first-half points. He finished with 22 in the game.

Guard Brian Shelbourne had a great all-around night, and his bucket in the final seconds before halftime gave Wabash a 35-29 lead. Shelbourne finished with a pretty typical (and full) stat line — six points on 3-of-3 shooting, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Wes Smith again drives to the basket for Wabash. Hiram did a great job of holding him in check for the first 12 minutes of the game, but once he got hot, he ignited Wabash and led the Little Giants from behind to take a six-point halftime lead.

The box score doesn't in any way indicate the important role Aaron Zinnerman played for Wabash in its nine-point win over Hiram. While he hit just one basket, his three-pointer from the home team baseline gave Wabash a boost, and his solid bench play over 18 minutes was key for the short-handed Little Giants.
