Sonic Artwork: The Winter 2010 Student Recital
Wabash Assistant Professor of Music Peter Hulen puts it this way: "We sometimes forget that music is organized sound—we study and train and perfect the patterns and techniques of making the sounds, but at some point we have to put all that into practice and produce some of the actual sonic artwork. That is what happens in the various performances put on by the Music Department, including Student Recitals like the one performed Friday night."

"As with any of our recitals, participants ranged from relative beginners to seasoned performers, and displayed a variety of instruments, styles and time periods," Professor Hulen said of Friday's recital. "I am proud of the diligent work our students put into preparing for these performances, and I appreciate the support extended by friends, family and community members who attend."
