2010 Wrestling Camp - Day Three
John Smith demonstrates technique for the Wabash wrestling camp. He won Olympic Gold in 1988 at Seoul and 1992 at Barcelona.
Smith is currently head coach for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. His teams have won seven NCAA national titles.
Besides his two gold medals, Smith was a four-time World Champion. He is in the Wrestling Hall of Fame as a wrestler and wrestling coach.
Stephen Abas works with a Wabash wrestler demonstrating moves for the campers. Abas was the 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist.
Abas has also competed in mixed martial arts. He teaches and works out in San Diego.
The campers were soaking in the instruction Wednesday morning.
Dennis Hall shows two young men how to execute a particular move. He made his mark as a Greco-Roman wrestler. Hall won Silver at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
Hall watches these guys work out. Hall was a 10-time US National Champion, a World Champion, and three time Olympian.
Hall's high school career at Harford, Wisconsin, is still the stuff of legends. His record was 146-1-1 with 110 pins. He was a three-time state champ.
