Art Professor Greg Huebner addresses a large crowd of alumni artists and friends after a brief ceremony during which President White dedicated the Gregory J. Huebner Gallery in tribute to the professor who helped establish an art major at Wabash.

Twenty of the 31 alumni artists whose work is on display in the Alumni Invitational returned for the opening reception. Sixteen made it for the group photo, and are pictured here with their professors, Greg Huebner and Doug Calisch.

Art Professor Doug Calisch did the behind-the-scenes work to get the old permanent collection gallery renamed in honor of his friend and colleague, Greg Huebner. The two artists and teachers have worked for most of their lives, and together built the art major at Wabash and led the construction of Wabash's stunning art studios and galleries.

Shay Atkinson ’05, whose "The Planet Man" is one of the works featured in the Alumni Invitational, attended the opening reception with his fiancee Erin and daughter, Persephone.

Phil Dewey ’89 has two works in the show, both part of his series of pieces honoring baseball players of the Negro Leagues. Here he catches up with mentor and friend Professor Doug Calisch.
