The crew rolls out the next section of turf upside down, then sews the seams together before flipping it over to add the next section.
The seams have to match up perfectly.
This pneumatic sewing machine has three spools of white thread and one spool of green thread to lock each section of turf in place.
The next rolls of turf are ready to be installed.
Work also continues on the rest of the soccer stadium. The cement for the stands was being poured Wednesday morning.
Final touches are being applied to the outside area of the stands, as well.

A new storage building is nearly complete at the south end of the stadium. The soccer and track and field teams will use this facility to store equipment.
The construction project will also provide new areas for the track and field team. This shot put circle is just south of the soccer field and will be used for practice and home meets.
These stairs lead from Jennison Street down to the field level of the soccer stadium.
